List for TWU Members
This is
directed to all TWU members. (YES....WE can be members too!)
Even as a
non-union member, we would use a notepad to record meetings
with management.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dealers... Mr. Lanni Sent out emails to our company employees.
Was it to say thank you for our years of
service?
Could it have been to invite us to apply for
employment at the new city center ?
Was it to let us know the company was going
to match us dollar for dollar in our 401ks?
Was it to inform us that during these tough
economic time's he would be forgoing his bonus so that he
would not have to terminate anymore employees?
Well.....not exactly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WOW! Mirage dealers have over 100 Feedback replies! SEND those TWU Authorization cards in! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Ads brought to you by Las Vegas Dealers and the TWU Local 721, AFL-CIO! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Who made this decision? This should NEVER have been voted on in the FIRST place!The Company pays all other employees for their usual day of pay. WHY should dealers pay from their own tokes to send someone else off to this Company sponsored event? TOKES TOKES EVERYWHERE AND NOT A SHARE TO SPARE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Who We Are We are Mirage Dealers. We are your friends and co-workers. We are your fellow dealers. We want a voice in our future for a change! Being organized is the way to get there.
The only thing kept secret here is your identity!
Have Courage The Wynn dealers have been very courageous going against management while working in the best job in town. Many of us at the Mirage felt rejected when we weren't chosen to go to the Bellagio. And rejected again when so many were ignored after applying at the Wynn. To see dealers with the best job in town stand up for themselves ... and win ... gives many of us the courage we need to stand up for ourselves too.
Caesar's Palace Dealers are strong, and
determined not to be bullied. Working conditions will only get worse unless we have the muscle behind us that we deserve. The Transport Workers Union will be our muscle. This is a great opportunity for us to have representation. This Union drive isn't about our Supervisors, Pit Managers or our beloved Mirage. Some of them are great people, and we love working with, and even living with them. But this IS about our own job security.
Understanding A Union
Decisions made by upper management are at Management's whim. What's the next cut they’ll make? Vacations? Health Insurance? Taking our tips away? New owners of the Mirage are always a possibility. Working conditions changed when the owners of MGM bought Mirage. It wasn't bad at first, except for cutting the number of employees from 7500 to under 5000! Now, it's easy to see the downgrading of the property; the food is unhealthy, the back-of -the-house carpet stinks, the Staff Dining room is filthy, the casino floor is filled with litter, and customers can't find service when they need it. Whoever designed the Dealer's uniforms obviously never even WORE a uniform! If we have a Contract with a Successorship Clause, we can be sure there won't be any surprises. Any future owners of the property here at the Mirage must honor the contracts already in place with its current employees. If there’s no contract, there’s nothing to honor.
We need representation. Organizing a Union is our right.
It is Federal Law.
